Abstract

To improve the response speed and reliability of the design patent retrieval system based on image content, a distributed processing method based on .NET Remoting framework has been proposed in this paper. In this method, the requests and treatments are detached, and the image retrieval requests are delivered to the idle computing nodes by load balancing and fault-tolerant mechanism. The result of patent image retrieval can been achieved through collecting and combining the consequences computed by the nodes. Experiments show that this method can effectively balance the system load under the multi-user concurrent operation and reduce the patent image retrieval time.
