Abstract

The article proposes an algorithm of color image mosaic based on Fourier-Mellin transform. The algorithm need not accurately control the motion of camera, and need not know the internal camera parameters and detect image feature. The algorithm firstly extracts a color parameter from two color images on the existence of rotation, scaling and translation transform, and then emendates them by Fourier-Mellin algorithm and phase correlation algorithm, finally completes image mosaic after compensating on rotation and proportion zoom. The experimental result indicates that registration precision of the algorithm can reach one pixel level.
