Zusammenfassung
Die Codierung der Datenbasis durch Zeichensätze ist ein wichtiger Aspekt, weil nicht jede Anwendung jede Codierung unterstützt und es deshalb leicht zu falsch dargestellten Zeichen kommen kann. Vermeiden lassen sich solche Codierungsfehler nur durch Kenntnisse über die gängigen Codierungsverfahren in der digitalen Kommunikation, die in diesem Abschnitt in kompakter Form vorgestellt werden.
