Abstract
This document is part of Subvolume E 'New Data and Updates for several III-V (including mixed crystals) II-VI Compounds' of Volume 44 'Semiconductors' of Landolt-Börnstein - Group III 'Condensed Matter'.
It deals with the phonon frequencies of HgSe.

There is a strong, narrow peak in the Raman spectrum at 43 cm−1 from 2TA(L) phonons due to a very flat behavior of the TA dispersion branch [99S]. For the effect of the five different Se isotopes on the asymmetric TO line in the reflectivity spectrum see [98S].
