Abstract
This paper focuses on the performance of GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO and Integrated GPS-GALILEO in China and its Neighboring Area in order to provide some references to the design and construction of COMPASS. The four satellite navigation systems are briefly reviewed. Positioning with pseudo-range is analyzed. The performance is studied by software simulation. The results of simulation are presented using the number of visible satellites as a measure of availability, Position Dilution of Precision (PDOP) as a measure of accuracy with spatial and temporal variations. The results could be beneficial for the design and construction of Chinese COMPASS system.
