Abstract
This chapter describes the differences in cultural and social attitudes to DSD and the timing of medical and surgical treatment in three different societies: Northern India (Lucknow), Vietnam (Hanoi) and Australia (RCH, Melbourne). Despite the differences there seems to be a similar ethical framework underlying these societies, consistent with our long-term goal to provide a similar standard of care everywhere.
