Face Detection for Skin-Toned Images Using Signature Functions

Abstract

In this paper, notion of signature function is introduced for a segmented image with face and non-face regions. Then classification is achieved by considering the correlation of signature functions of the template and the segmented image. Proposed method is computationally elegant and results are satisfactory under the constraint of those costs.
