Abstract

In this paper, methane, ethane, propane, iso-butane, n-butane and carbon dioxide are measured as an example of complex greenhouse gas on line and in situ with FTIR spectrometer. Spectral analysis technologies, characteristic variable abstraction, baseline correction and nonlinear analysis model building are included, used to improve measurement accuracy have been discussed in detail. At the end of this paper, FTIR spectrometer equipped with spectral analysis software developed by us is used to measure mixed gas online while gas chromatograph is used as a reference instrument. The comparison of the results shows that two result curves of every component overlap each other. The measurement noise is less than 7×10− 6. And FTIR spectrometer can be used to measure complex greenhouse gas on line and in situ with high accuracy.
