The Calculation Method of Road Travel Time Based on License Plate Recognition Technology

Abstract

Travel time is a very important indicator which reflects the situation of road traffic. This article designed a method for computing the road travel time by the driving path which was obtained based on license plate recognition technology. With analysis of the on-site verification results, this paper showed that the algorithm can satisfy the accuracy and timeliness in the complex road conditions.
