Abstract
We begin by introducing the constructive framework within which our theory lies. Section 1.1 deals with informal intuitionistic logic and how its use a_ects even the elementary theory of real numbers. In Section 1.2 we describe the naive set theory needed in the book; and in Section 1.3 we give the briefest outline of the basic notions associated with metric and topological spaces.
