The High-Temperature Region of the SK Model

Abstract

As an introduction to our low temperature methods, we determine what is the entire high-temperature region for the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model. It is the region for which the “replica-symmetric bound and the bound with one level of replica-symmetry breaking coincide”. The principle of the approach is the same as the one we shall use to prove the Parisi formula at any temperature, but the details are very much simpler. We then prove that the precise results obtained in Chapter 1 of the first volume at sufficiently high temperature remain in fact true in the entire high-temperature region.
