Abstract
For its Mclean Lake project, challenging due to its geotechnical nature and the applying environmental and health related restrictions, AREVA Resources Canada Ltd. addressed BAUER Maschinen GmbH for the development of an alternative mining method for small, pocket-shaped, high-grade uranium deposits, embedded in sandstone end of 2007. In close cooperation with AREVA Resources Canada Ltd., BAUER Maschinen GmbH designed and manufactured a system to mine the uranium ore, the so called High Pressure Reverse Circulation (HPRC) system.
