Abstract

The impact of the generator parameters (including the parameters of the generator model, excitation system and power system stabilizer) on power system’s transient and dynamic stabilities is researched by simulation. From the tables and plots of the resultant data, some evident and useful rules are summarized. These rules can be directly applied to the generator parameters’ engineering testing. Since complex theoretical analyses are circumvented, the testing procedure is simplified, and the efficiencies of the testing technicians are greatly promoted.
