Kreativität in IT-Forschungsprojekten – Charakterisierung und resultierende Handlungsanweisungen für das Projektmanagement

Abstract

In Forschungsprojekten stellt kreative Arbeit einen nicht zu unterschätzenden Anteil der zu erledigenden Aufgaben dar. Es liegt in ihrer Natur, dass sie benötigt werden, um neue Ideen für innovative Produkte und Services oder nützliche Modelle und Methoden zu entwickeln. Aus diesem Grund ist es für das Management eines solchen Projektes von großer Wichtigkeit ein kreativitätsförderndes Umfeld zu schaffen. Doch ist nicht immer klar, wie dies praktisch umsetzbar ist, besonders bezüglich der Balance zwischen Freiheit und strikten Projektmanagementmethoden. Um dieser Fragestellung nachzugehen wurden im Rahmen einer Fallstudie sieben Interviews mit Projektleitern der Forschungsabteilung der SAP AG durchgeführt. Anhand der Ergebnisse wird in diesem Beitrag einerseits der kreative Aspekt eines Forschungsprojekts charakterisiert, andererseits werden konkrete Handlungsanweisungen für das Projektmanagement abgeleitet.
