Zusammenfassung

Bei einer Lungenembolie tritt ein partieller oder vollständiger Verschluss der Lungenarterien zumeist als direkte Folge einer Venenthrombose auf. Bei etwa 1/3 aller venösen thromboembolischen Ereignisse handelt es sich um eine Lungenembolie.
