Let X be a vector field on \({\mathbb{R}^{d},}\,{V}\,\, {\rm{a\,vector\,at\,}}{x}_{0}\,\epsilon\,{\mathbb{R}^{d}} \). We want to analyze how one takes the derivative of X at x0 in the direction V.
