Die ärztliche Begutachtung

Zusammenfassung

Die Begutachtung der arteriellen Hypertonie setzt neben der Erfassung des tatsächlichen Blutdruckniveaus und der Differenzialdiagnostik der verschiedenen Hochdruckformen die Kenntnis weiterer kardiovaskulärer Risikofaktoren und hochdruckspezifischer Endorganschäden bzw. relevanter Zusatzerkrankungen voraus. Auf der Basis dieser klinischen Daten kann anhand des durch epidemiologische Studien gut belegten kardiovaskulären Gesamtrisikos eine Risikoabschätzung für jeden Einzelfall vorgenommen werden. Nur selten ist eine endgültige Beurteilung erforderlich, in der Regel kann das Hochdruck-bedingte Risiko durch eine antihypertensive Therapie reduziert werden. Allerdings sind auch evtl. auftretende Nebenwirkungen der antihypertensiven Medikation bei der Beurteilung zu berücksichtigen.
