Zusammenfassung
Repräsentative Untersuchungen zeigen, dass 71 % der Menschen in Deutschlandim Laufe ihres Lebens zumindest zeitweise an Kopfschmerzen leiden. Drei Prozent der Bevölkerung werden täglich von Kopfschmerzen geplagt. Ca. 9 Millionen Menschen erfüllen die Merkmale der Migräne und leiden im Mittel an ca. 34 Tagen pro Jahr an dieser Kopfschmerzform. Ca. 29 Millionen Menschen sind von Kopfschmerz vom Spannungstyp betroffen, der im Mittel an 35 Tagen pro Jahr besteht. Weitere 4,3 Millionen Menschen geben andere Kopfschmerzformen an. Im Mittel sind die Betroffenen an ca. 17 Tagen pro Jahr aufgrund ihrer Kopfschmerzerkrankung arbeitsunfähig, und an 16 Tagen pro Jahr sind die Menschen nicht in der Lage, ihre geplanten Freizeitaktivitäten durchzuführen.
