Abstract
With any patient who is first seen by the physician, a proper history should be obtained. Not only the patient complaints but a proper complete medical history should be taken. In aesthetic medicine, as with many medical specialties, there is a tendency to shortcut the history with the idea that it is not important to learn everything about the patient. Although doing a proper history may seem wasteful of time, there is, sometimes, information that may be significant concerning the treatment that the physician may propose.
