Abstract
The present book deals with the concepts and methods of the dimensional analysis and their applications to various thermohydrodynamic phenomena in continuous media. A comprehensive exposition of the results of systematic analysis of a number of important problems in this area in the framework of the \( \rm Pi \)-theorem is given in nine chapters. In Chap. 2 the basics of the dimensional analysis are discussed. In particular, the principle of dimensional homogeneity and non-dimensionalization of the mass, momentum, energy and diffusion equations and the corresponding initial and boundary conditions are described in this chapter.
