Open and Endoscopic Laser Treatment in Paediatrics

Abstract

In 1981, the first period of laser treatment in children was started in our department. In the beginning the thermal laser-tissue interaction of the laser light was utilized. In paediatric surgery, improvements could be made by focusing the laser beam with special lens systems.
