Abstract
Java is a true object-oriented language that incorporates some of the most powerful new concepts in computer language design introduced in the last two decades. Java was designed to make programmers more productive by hiding much of the complexity that is visible in other languages. While Java strictly enforces many rules at compile time, it also includes features to allow extremely dynamic code to be written. Java includes native support for multi-threaded development, makes use of modern exception handling, and applies sophisticated garbage collection techniques to take care of memory management automatically (http://java.sun.com).
