Das Spektrum der Patienten in der Mund-Kiefer-Gesichtschirurgie reicht vom Säugling mit kraniofazialen Missbildungen über den (poly-)traumatisierten Patienten mit Verletzungen des Gesichtsschädels, dem Patienten mit Kiefersperre durch Abszess bis zum älteren Tumorpatienten mit typischen kardiovaskulären Begleiterkrankungen.
