Abstract

The primarygoal of this book has been to advocate a much more central role for the conceptual approach to the design of evolvable hardare-based applications than is traditionally afforded. Let us now charactarize the approach used in this bookto achieve our proposed goals and summarize the obtained results together with an outline of some directions for future research.
