Abstract
The evolvable component approach introduced in Chap. 5 and investigated formally in Chap.6 will be applied to the evolutionary design of various image operators. While the chapter on evolvable computational machines has provided a theoretical insight into the problem, this chapter reports the experimental results and experience in the practical evolutionary design of digital circuits.
