Zusammenfassung

Auffälligste Entwicklung der Schlafmittel ist der seit 1992 zu beobachtende starke Verordnungsrückgang um mehr als 50%. Auch 2003 waren die Hypno-tikaverordnungen weiter rückläufig. Betroffen waren vor allem langwirkende Benzodiazepine und pflanzliche Präparate. Lediglich die beiden kurzwirksamen Nichtbenzodiazepine Zolpidem und Zopiclon wurden mehr verordnet.
