Zusammenfassung
Das Zervixkarzinom ist weltweit nach wie vor einer der häufigsten gynäkologischen Tumoren. In den Industrieländern ist bedingt durch eine effektive Fryüherkennung die Häufigkeit der Zervixkarzinoms in den letzten Jahrzehnten um mehr als zwei Drittel zurückgegangen, die Inzidenz in Deutschland beträgt derzeit ca. 12,4/100 000 Einwohner. Trotzdem erkrankten in Deutschland im Jahr 2001 ca. 6200 Frauen am Zervixkarzinom
