Abstract
PPTC device technology has been widely applied to overcurrent and overtemperature circuit protection designs in portable electronics, cell phones, computers, and telecommunications equipment. New Automotive Electronics Council standards for passive components, including PPTC devices, are advancing the acceptance of this technology in the automotive industry.
