Abstract
Ontology engineering is the research to find out methods of creating ontology knowledge in computer system. This research concerns about formalizing the structure of ontology, and the development of some algorithms for automatic or semi-automatic ontology learning. Some of the work involves developing tools for ontology engineer or domain expert to create ontology manually. This chapter introduces the concept of ontology engineering, some related tools and also some related technology that is useful to the development of ontology learning algorithms.
