Abstract

Liposuction, performed with smaller cannulas and a submental incision of the submental area, mandibular border, jowl, and cheek can improve the contour of the lower face. Subplatysmal fat, while better excised under direct vision, has also been removed via liposuction. The operative procedure of submental liposuction is described and results shown.
