Zusammenfassung
In den vergangenen Jahren hat sich das Interesse an der Eignung und Ausgestaltung residualgewinnbasierter Steuerungsinstrumente im Rahmen der wertorientierten Unternehmensführung verstärkt. Bestimmendes Merkmal des Residualgewinns ist die Verrechnung von Zinsen auf das investierte Kapital anhand eines „geeignet“ festgelegten Kapitalkostensatzes. Die Beurteilung und Vergütung von Bereichmanagern auf Basis des Residualgewinns kann mit einer vollständigen Delegation der Investitionsentscheidungen an sie einhergehen. In der Praxis müssen Projekte jedoch häufig beantragt und von der Zentrale genehmigt werden, wobei die Genehmigung von dem „Bericht“ des Bereichsmanagers über die erzielbare Rendite abhängt, welche eine Renditevorgabe übertreffen muss. Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht, wie Kapital- kostensätze bei Delegation bzw. Renditevorgaben bei Zentralisation von Investitionsentscheidungen optimalerweise festzulegen sind, wenn Bereichsmanager überlegene Informationen über den Wert realisierbarer Investitionsprojekte haben, mit Investitionen persönliche Interessen verbinden und Risiken scheuen, die für Anteilseigner diversifizierbar sind.
