Zusammenfassung

Herzinsuffizienz bezeichnet ein komplexes klinisches Syndrom, das gekennzeichnet ist durch Störungen der linksventrikulären Funktion und der neuroendokrinen Regulation sowie durch einen Anstieg der Füllungsdrücke (z. B. pulmonal-kapillärer Verschlussdruck, PCWP), Flüssigkeitsüberladung der Gewebe (Kongestion), ein reduziertes Herzminutenvolumen und die daraus resultierende Gewebshypoperfusion.
