Zusammenfassung

Die Narkose bei neurochirurgischen Patienten stellt eine Besonderheit der anästhesiologischen Praxis dar, da das ZNS gleichzeitig Zielorgan der chirurgischen Therapie und der Anästhetika ist. Die ausführliche Anamnese und die körperliche Untersuchung sind der Standard zur Risikoabschätzung vor operativen Eingriffen. Hieraus ergeben sich Art und Umfang der weiteren präoperativen Diagnostik unter Berücksichtigung des OP-Risikos und der Dringlichkeit des geplanten Eingriffs. Inwieweit technische Voruntersuchungen zu einer Verringerung des perioperativen Risikos beitragen, ist bislang allerdings nur unzureichend untersucht.
