Abstract

Bertrand Collomb is Honorary Chairman of Lafarge, a worldwide leader in building materials. He has been with Lafarge since leaving the French Ministry of Industry in 1975. Collomb became Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge in 1989 and Chairman in 2003. He is also a director of Total, ATCO, and DuPont, as well as Chairman of the French Institute of International Relations and Chairman of the Institute for Studies in Science and Technology. He is a member of the Governing Body of the European Institute of Technology, the European Corporate Governance Forum, and the Institut de France (Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques).
