Utilization of Agents for Key Distribution in IEEE 802.11

Abstract

Applications of the IEEE 802.11 wireless networks are sharply increasingly in today’s modern communications, in particular follow the so-called “last mile communications” across the world. Since the communication medium being wireless, they are vulnerable to security attacks. In our previous research work, we have discussed the use of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) to distribute the key that used to encrypt and decrypt data in Wi-Fi networks. We also discussed a novel method of using Multi Agent System (MAS) to implement QKD in Wi-Fi networks. In this paper we extend our previous work to investigate the implementation of QKD protocol via modified MAS solution, which will improve the performances for the whole implementing system and become more efficient and effective.
