Zusammenfassung

Die Begriffe »therapeutische« und »operative« oder »chirurgische« Endoskopie werden heute überwiegend synonym für alle Eingriffe verwendet, die unter endoskopischer Kontrolle durchgeführt werden. Zahlreiche chirurgische Eingriffe können heute auf endoskopischem Wege mit dem damit verbundenen geringeren Risiko für den Patienten vorgenommen werden.
