Abstract
The diagrams in Fig. D.1 and Fig. D.2 for continuous-time and discrete-time simulations are of a universal nature, in the sense that they are adequate for all the exercises proposed in the book. They comprise a state-feedback controller, an observer in its generalized form, a gain compensation (feedforward) matrix and error integrators. The parameters the user will have to adjust are listed in Table D.1. In the two diagrams, the C parameter of the State-Space block simulating the plant is an identity matrix, of suitable dimensions, in order to give access to the full state vector at the output of this block.
