The present work has brought together two fields of research – cooperative game theory and lot sizing in supply chains – to heighten the awareness for practical problems occurring in supply networks where several partners are involved in a cooperation and to show the applicability of cooperative game theory to practical problems. Although, many questions arise when dealing with cooperations, this work has concentrated on the problem of allocating cooperative profits or costs among the partners of a cooperation because this plays an essential role to assure stability and fairness in a cooperation.
