Zusammenfassung

Die Funktion der Schulter ist als Leistung einer Gelenkkette zu sehen. Sie basiert auf der Anatomie und dem Zusammenspiel des eigentlichen Schultergelenks (Glenohumeralgelenk), den Schultergürtelgelenken (Akromioklavikular- und Sternoklavikulargelenk) und den »Nebengelenken« der skapulothorakalen und der subakromialen Gleitschicht.
