Zusammenfassung
Von jeher galt es als hilfreich und geboten, sich mit Gott, den Göttern oder anderen »höheren Wesen « gut zu stellen, um sich beispielsweise ein langes und gesundes Leben zu sichern. In Zeiten der Dominanz eines klassisch naturwissenschaft lichen Paradigmas und infolge der Aufk lärung sind Glaubensrituale und religiöse Praxis heute jedoch zunehmend zur Privatsache geworden und in vielen Gesellschaft en gänzlich vom Aussterben bedroht. Könnte man meinen. Und dennoch: Ein wachsender Markt an religiösen »Zweigstellen« und HeilsversprecherInnen, an Esoterik und Menschen »auf der Suche« zeigen an, dass das Bedürfnis nach einer Beziehung zu und einem Platz für Gott (…), Religiosität und Spiritualität off enbar ein Urbedürfnis ausdrückt und nicht in gleichem Maße mit dem Niedergang z. B. der europäisch-christlichen Konfessionen an Bedeutung verliert. Und so scheint es gerade in Zeiten der Krise im »Außen« und im »Innen«, wie z. B. auch im Rahmen von Krankheit, Tod und Heilung, eine Hinwendung zu einer spezifi schen oder aber einer integralen Spiritualität zu geben und dieses Phänomen scheint etwas sehr Menschliches zu sein.
