Abstract

In this paper, we describe a framework for integrating workflow modelling techniques with a knowledge management approach that enables us to represent the problem-solving knowledge, the coordination of the method execution, and the agents that are involved in the workflow. The case of price estimation workflow in the manufactured furniture industry is described within this framework, that was implemented in a knowledge-based system that is based on a service-oriented architecture that automated the correct execution of the methods needed to solve the estimation task.
