Zusammenfassung

Der Terminus »kog­nitive Therapieverfahren« hat sich als Oberbegriff für diejenige Gruppe psychotherapeutischer Ansätze etabliert, die den Fokus direkt auf die systematische Veränderung dysfunktionaler Wahrnehmungs-, Denk- und Einstellungsmuster (kognitive Schemata, »kog­nitive Fehler«, »Glaubenssysteme«) der Patienten legen. Die kognitive Perspektive greift dabei auf ein breites Erkenntnis- und Methodeninventar der psychologischen Grundlagen- und Anwendungsforschung zurück und schließt alle Prozesse des Wahrnehmens, Begreifens, Urteilens und Schlussfolgerns einschließlich der exekutiven Funktionen und Handlungskontrolle mit ein (► Kap. 1).
