Zusammenfassung
Dieses Kapitel beschreibt die Herausforderungen bei der Rückkehr ins Arbeitsleben und die Elemente einer erfolgreichen beruflichen Rehabilitation nach einer Hirnverletzung. Im ersten Teil werden Studien über berufliche Prognosen in den USA und Europa vorgestellt, anschließend Studien, die den Einfluss neuropsychologischer, verhaltensneurologischer und demographischer Faktoren auf die Teilhabe am Arbeitsleben aufzeigen, und im dritten Teil werden Aspekte der traditionellen Modelle beruflicher Unterstützung in der beruflichen Rehabilitation vorgestellt und miteinander verglichen. Dieses Kapitel endet mit einer Diskussion über Themen, die bei der Entwicklung erfolgreicher Programme zu berücksichtigen sind, besonders Patienteneigenschaften und rehabilitative Ressourcen.
