Zusammenfassung

Die bekanntesten polymorphen und immunogenen Strukturen auf der Zellmembran von Leukozyten sind die Antigene des HLA-Systems. Darüber hinaus konnten auf Granulozyten zahlreiche antigene Strukturen biochemisch, molekularbiologisch und funktionell charakterisiert werden. Zur besseren Systematisierung wurde für diese die HNA-Nomenklatur (humane neutrophile Alloantigene), eingeführt und die Antigene entsprechend neu benannt. Den HNA-Antigenen kommt eine wichtige Rolle bei der Induktion von Allo- und Autoantikörpern zu, die zu schwerwiegenden Immunneutropenien und lebensbedrohlichen Transfusionsreaktionen führen können.
