Multifractality in NIRS Data of Brain Activity

We present the evidence that multifractals existing in the near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) recorded during imagery tasks of brain. Left- and right-arrow imagery tasks of brain are considered in this study. The method of wavelet transform modulus maxima (WTMM) is employed in the estimation. The result shows that the local Hurst exponent h is in the range from 0 to 0.4 with the maximum around 0.1 in all the trials.
