Zusammenfassung

Gegenüber mechanischen Einwirkungen sind periphere Nerven erstaunlich widerstandsfähig. Dies liegt an dem mehrschichtigen Hüllgewebe, in welches die empfindlichen Nervenfasern eingebettet sind. Trotzdem kann durch starke mechanische Kräfte die Widerstandsfähigkeit des Hüllgewebes überschritten werden, sodass es mit oder auch ohne Schaden am Hüllgewebe zur Schädigung der Nervenfasern kommt.
