Ein Swyer-James-Syndrom mit einseitig heller Lunge und hypoplastischem Hilus ist meist ein Zufallsbefund und heute extrem selten geworden. Die Symptomatik reicht von Beschwerdefreiheit bis zur chronischen Bronchitis unklarer Genese.
