Zusammenfassung

Korrektur der Presbyopie bedeutet, im nicht mehr akkommodationsfähigen Auge eine akzeptable Sehschärfe für die Nähe herzustellen. Da die Akkommodation im Sinne von Refraktionsänderung bei Menschen auf die Linse beschränkt ist, kann die Behandlung an der Kornea daher nur darauf gerichtet sein, entweder die Schärfentiefe zu erhöhen oder ein Auge für die Nähe und das andere für die Ferne zu korrigieren. Dies wird auf mehrere Arten angestrebt, darunter Änderung der Hornhautoberfläche mittels Excimerlaser, CK oder LTK, Behandlung des Hornhautstromas mit dem Femtosekundenlaser und intrakorneale Implantate.
