Abstract

In this chapter we introduce the foundations on which this work builds and position our contributions in the bigger context. The presented work mainly offers improvements to current Business Process Management (Section 2.1) by using technologies from the Semantic Web (Section 2.3). The improvements help, among others, in relating process activities to services (Section 2.2).
