Zusammenfassung
Benigne Weichgewebetumoren sind über 100-mal häufiger als Weichteilsarkome. Oft wird deshalb die Diagnose Weichteilsarkom mit großer Verzögerung oder als Zufallsbefund im Rahmen der Exzision einer vermeintlich benignen Läsion gestellt. Nur selten ist der erste klinische Eindruck eines Weichgewebetumors klar auf ein Sarkom hinweisend (◘ Abb. 1.1). Der Tumor kann auch unscheinbar, ohne wesentliche Progredienz und in oberflächiger Lage eine benigne Läsion vortäuschen (◘ Abb. 1.2).
